These are the terms on the use of “KoeSapo” (the “App”) and this site (the “Site”). The provider is maruapp (the “Business Operator”).
Scope of application
These terms apply to the App and the Site. By using the App or the Site, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
Description of the App
The App has a feature that turns the voice of the person you are talking with, picked up by the microphone, into text and displays it; a feature that reads aloud the sentences you type, using a voice; and a Phrasebook feature in which you register phrases in advance.
The language for listening and reading aloud can be chosen in Settings from the languages your device supports.
The basic talk features are free. Additional features are available with the subscription “KoeSapo Plus” (paid).
Conditions of use
Anyone may use the App. Supported devices and OS versions follow the description on the App Store. The operating environment is iPhone (iOS 26.0 or later). When the Business Operator introduces a new fee, it will revise these terms and notify you.
If you are a minor, please use the App and the Site with the consent of your parent or guardian (legal representative). Through Apple’s mechanisms, an age check may be required. In addition, parental consent may be required for purchases by minors and for important changes to the App. While waiting for parental consent, you cannot sign up for a subscription. During this time, you can still use free talks. The information handled in the age check is described in the Privacy Policy.
Subscription
The App’s additional features are available with the subscription “KoeSapo Plus” (paid). The subscription comes in two types, one month and one year, and renews automatically. Signing up for, paying for, renewing, canceling, and refunding the subscription are carried out through Apple’s mechanisms.
The methods and conditions for canceling a subscription are as follows.
- You can cancel at any time from “Settings → your name → Subscriptions” on your iPhone.
- If you cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial period ends, you will not be charged.
- If you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, there will be no next charge.
- Even if you cancel partway through, you can use the subscription until the end of the period. There is no prorated refund. Please contact Apple about refunds.
The yearly subscription has a one-week free trial period. The free trial period is limited to once, and those who have previously used a free trial period of this subscription are not eligible. Depending on Apple’s conditions, you may not be able to receive it. Family Sharing is enabled.
Prices are displayed on the subscription screen and in the App Store.
Share usage info
Whether to send usage info is an optional choice. The information the App sends for usage analysis, and how to stop it, are described in the Privacy Policy.
Prohibited acts
In using the App and the Site, the following acts are prohibited.
- Acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals
- Acts that infringe the rights of other people (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, honor, etc.)
- Acts of keeping a record of a talk and making it public without the consent of the other party
- Acts of defaming, threatening, or discriminating against other people
- Acts of planning or encouraging crimes or illegal acts
- Acts of analyzing, modifying, or copying the App (except to the extent permitted by law)
- Acts of transferring, lending, or redistributing the App to a third party without the Business Operator’s permission
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the services of the Business Operator or third parties
- Acts of gaining unauthorized access to the mechanisms of the Site, or placing an excessive load on them
- Acts of impersonating the Business Operator, and acts of sending false content in inquiries
- Other acts that the Business Operator judges to be inappropriate
Exemption from liability and scope of liability
Errors may occur in the App’s speech recognition. In important situations, please also confirm the content by other means. The Business Operator’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Ownership of rights
The rights related to the App and the Site belong to the Business Operator. The talks you handle in the App and the phrases you register belong to you. The Business Operator neither collects nor uses them.
Changes to these terms
The Business Operator may change these terms. When the Business Operator makes a change, it will indicate the content of the change and the date on which it takes effect, and announce this on the Site. If you continue to use the App or the Site after the announcement, you are deemed to have agreed to the changes. The date these terms were enacted is September 30, 2026. The date these terms were revised is October 31, 2026 (the previous revision was October 26, 2026).
Content of this change: The description of the language for listening and reading aloud was revised to match how the language is actually chosen (in Settings, from the languages your device supports).

Governing law and court
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises in connection with the App or the Site, the court that has jurisdiction over the place of the Business Operator’s address will be the court of first instance with exclusive jurisdiction by agreement.
Relationship to the App Store license
If you obtained the App from the App Store, Apple’s standard license agreement (Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies. These terms apply to the extent that they do not conflict with that agreement.
